All welcome to our quiz and film afternoon on Sunday 19 July. Our quizzes are multi media – some written, some film observation, some catchphrases – so you don’t have to be that good with trivia quiz info. We will show our latest film – Push Back {a tale of office bullying) during the break. The film is about 15 minutes Light refreshments included in the entry fee.

Please book (we are often full up and we are restricting numbers this time). Tables will be for between 4 and 6 people. You can book as an individual, a couple or a group.

Historic Warwick Day Trip

Enjoy a mid-summer day out with us, exploring gardens and medieval wonders in the Heart of England. We travel by coach from Enfield at 8.15am and spend the first part of the day visiting a fully restored community garden, called Guys Cliffe, originally designed in 1700.Later, after a delicious lunch in the Great Hall café at The Lord Leycester, we will enjoy a guided tour of the medieval buildings and gardens by resident ex-servicemen. There will be some free time in compact historic Warwick to explore before returning to Enfield at around 7pm.This trip is suitable for most abilities as there is not much walking.

The trip costs £61 pp which includes return minibus travel, entry fees, guided tours, driver tip and a prize draw ticket for the return journey (10 prizes). Lunch and drinks are paid individually on the day BUT menu choices should be returned to Olivia with your booking form as the restaurant needs all orders in advance. Menu to follow.

A 4.5 mile circular riverside walk from Broxbourne with a pub lunch en route

Join us at 12.15 at Broxbourne station* for a 4.5 circular walk.  We will walk up the River Lee from Broxbourne to Dobbs Weir where we will stop for lunch in a traditional riverside pub.  After lunch we will take the New River path back to Broxbourne. This is a beautiful, flat and easy walk but you must be fit enough to walk the 4.5 miles which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours (*Trains for Broxbourne leave from Enfield Lock and go through Cheshunt.  There may be some lifts available from Enfield Town).

This walk is weather dependent - cancelled if it is raining or if it is extremely hot. There is no charge but you will need to pay your train fare and bring money for lunch.  We should get back to Broxbourne (where you might choose to spend more time) at about 3.30pm.
